Dive the HTMS Khram Shipwreck in Pattaya

In the early months of 2003, Pattaya Divers were gifted a new shipwreck in the Gulf of Thailand. The Royal Thai Navy sank a large decommissioned United States Warship between the islands of Koh Phai and Koh Larn. The sunken ship rests approx fifteen kilometers from Pattaya Port in thirty meters of water. The Khram Shipwreck was intentionally sunk to develop an artificial coral reef and breeding ground for fish, and also to create a wreck dive for advanced certified scuba divers in Pattaya.

The Khram Wreck was cleared of its arms and other hazards to scuba divers such as oils and swinging doors and the Thai Navy prepared the ship for the dive site. The diving location was chosen for its closeness to Pattaya Beach, yet far enough away to benefit from clearer underwater visibility.

Large open holes were made in many parts of the shipwreck which allows for a certain amount of wreck penetration diving. Scuba Divers can swim through some of the ships passages whilst remaining in safety of natural daylight. The Khram Wreck Dive is an exciting adventure for fish lovers with schools of Barracuda, shoals of Trevallys, Batfish, Turtles, Jacks, Fusiliers, Stonefish, Porcupinefish, Unicorn fish and Sharks regularly seen.

We make daily dives to the Shipwrecks in Pattaya for the PADI Wreck Adventure Dive, Advanced Scuba Diver Course and the Wreck Specialty Training Dives. Please use our Contact Us Form to send us your enquiry>
